ACTIVITIES IN CARMEL AND SURROUNDING AREAS:

Carmel Valley WINE TASTING: Downtown Carmel is full of Wine Tasting Rooms. You can also Uber 20 minutes out to the Valley for a Casual fun wine tasting. Eat Lunch at Bernardus lodge then Uber 5 minutes to the Valley Village where there are about 8 tasting rooms to walk around. Careful They all close at 5pm in the Valley. Listings Here

For Serious Wine Tours - Hire a driver to take you out to Soledad or Santa Lucia Highlands for all of the River Road Wine Trail - This is a full days trip. (50 min drive) Many of the same Wineries have tasting rooms in Carmel. However, if you are looking to hang on the wineries itself - this is the place to be! Listings HERE

Wine Tasting Rooms Downtown Carmel - These wine tasting rooms stay open later till 7pm. Fabulous Wines! Carmel/ Monterey / Soledad is known for their Pinot’s! Tons of Pinot Rose’s as well. They are infamous because the grapes heat up so much during the day by the Valley Sun, then get cooled by the fog at night, which makes them ripe very uniquely! Most of the tasting rooms have limited production, so many are organic and biodynamic - making it easy to drink with less of a hangover or headache - So Be Careful - It Goes down fast ;) Go in the Order Below: All Listings See Here

Day 1 Downtown Tasting: My Favorite and in order of walking - All Super Close to Cypress INN - (Schneid, Dawn’s Dream, Scratch, Caraccoioli)

  • Day 2 (Silvistri, HAHN, Wrath, Albatross)

SPA DAY - Pebble Beach Has a spa with upscale prices. I Personally love The Refuge at CVAC (10 minute drive) Halfway between Carmel and Carmel Valley. They have outdoor Sauna’s, cold and hot tubs, Steam rooms. All Co-ed and supposed to help you detox! Deborah is not a fan - haha, but it’s great if you are into it. Third Option - Enjoy the Spa at Bernardus lodge. Perfect place for lunch, after you eat, hit the spa, while your Husband plays bocce and sits at their outside bar and fire pits. WIN WIN FOR ALL.

BIG SUR DRIVE- Drive Highway 1 south for an hour! Scenic Views, Hikes, Stop for a casual Lunch at Nepenthe or Upscale Lunch at The Post Ranch Inn’s Sierra Mar

Big Sur Hikes: My Favorite is the Andrew Molera Loop - Hikes Listed Here
